A well-behaved Dane must never jump on people. Unless he’s been invited to. These two are practicing for dancing with stars (Bentley will be the star).
Bentley jumped at a chance to dance
Bentley is currently #1 Daddy Dog at Service Dog Project. He takes his job very seriously, but like so many Danes, he has a comedic side. He can be a perfectly-behaved service dog for his usual partner Carlene, but he is very capable of thinking outside the box. Bentley often makes the rounds of senior centers and nursing homes where he excels at “working the crowd.” When Carlene is giving a talk about service dogs, Bentley helps educate by slowly walking around and letting people hold his harness to see exactly what kind of stability is offered by a big dog.
Even though he is not supposed to jump up like that, it’s nice to know he is able to. That’s 170 pounds of dog proving his hips are working just fine.
