Polar Facts: Tundra Buggy
The Tundra Buggy is able to get up close and personal with the polar bears in Churchill!
An all-terrain vehicle, the tundra buggy takes visitors and polar bear enthusiasts into the Churchill Wildlife Management Area. The buggy is a few feet taller than a polar bear on its hind legs, which allows for safe viewing and photography. (More about the buggy here.)
Polar Bear International Field Ambassadors accompany drivers to talk to visitors about conservation needs of the polar bear.
