Any Day Now… Owlets (chicks)!
Jessica from Owl Research Institute writes, “Great Horned Owl females incubate their eggs from about 28-37 days, with an average incubation period of 35 days. While we aren’t certain of the exact day she laid, we think it was right around March 6.” This would mean the owlets, or owl chicks, can be expected any time from today through next week!
