Spotting mama bear #171 and her spring cub approaching from the boat cove, playful yearling Indy 500 gets a notion to rassle with the little one. She jauntily follows the pair down the path, standing up over the grass at times to keep them in sight. Over-protective #171 is decidedly no fun at all, chasing Indy 500 off before the games begin. It’s really a shame not only because playing strengthens social bonds, but we just know it would’ve been adorable. Maybe when you’re older, spring cub. Watch the video highlight below!
