Once in harness a Dane is supposed to be in thinking mode. In this case, the big dog Brownie seems to be thinking, “This is not on my list of what to do if… I hope someone comes along and explains it to me.”
Danes are thinkers; the puppy in the picture “Peggity“ grew up to be a service dog for a person with both hearing and balance issues. She saved the lives of many by repeatedly jumping onto the bed to awaken her deaf owner as the building was filling with smoke. Everyone, including the cat, got out just before the building was fully engulfed.
