We’ve gotten all manners of great works of art from viewers like you for our Share Your Polar Bear Story! Diane Poloczek of Toronto has elevated the game with a series of haiku. Haiku are non-rhyming poems of Japanese origin typically having three lines containing five, seven, and five syllables respectively.
Diane tells us, “I am very inspired by this contest. What a great outlet for all ages! As a species undergoing great stresses in nature, the polar bear lends itself as a noble subject to the arts. I find writing in Haiku a fitting framework for themes of nature.
