Dr. Kress is the founder and Director of Audubon’s Project Puffin and Director of the Hog Island Audubon Camp in Maine. As a result of his pioneering techniques in seabird restoration, Dr. Kress successfully restored seabirds colonies such as puffins, terns and razorbills to seven islands off the coast of Maine.

The attraction and management methods that the Project has developed are now being used in 14 countries worldwide to help other major bird colonies, benefiting at least 46 other species of seabirds.
