By adopting a puffin, you contribute to ensuring the future of puffins on Maine’s coast. Some of these birds have been studied by our staff for more than 30 years!

You will receive a certificate of adoption as well as a biography, which includes detailed information gathered by our researchers about an individual puffin from the time it hatched to the present; a summary of the puffin’s most recent behavior, nesting, and other activities; and a current color photo.
