Service dogs must be educated in order to function in polite society. These three pups are learning perfect table manners under close supervision of Chef Carlene and Bailey of the prudence committee.
Food aggression, or any other kind of aggression, is just not acceptable for a service dog. One of the first commands taught at Service Dog Project is “mind your manners” – a generic command which means “stop and think”. Lessons about their manners start at a very early age by spoon feeding them canned food, first by themselves, and eventually the entire litter. They must learn to wait their turn by standing or sitting quietly; SDP never uses the circle puppy feeders which encourage pups to push and shove each other around.
These three pups look exactly like Thumper, their father. They all had the typical few white hairs at the tip of their tails. 96.7% of all pups of harlequin bloodlines have a white tip tail. At least by SDP count.
