The Egg Has Landed!

…in the Puffin Burrow! We have new parents and a fresh egg that is being carefully cared for on the Puffin Burrow Cam, which is now live!

From our partners at the Audubon Society:

Welcome back into the Puffin Burrow, the home of a doting puffin parenting couple as they incubate their egg and eventually feed their chick freshly caught fish. The burrow has both back and front doors, so you will see the puffins entering and exiting from both sides. Most of the loud sounds that you hear come from Common Terns nesting on the surface above the puffin burrows. Puffins call less often, usually when greeting each other at the burrow, and it is likened to a deep ‘chainsaw sound.’ Enjoy your stay at the Puffin Burrow and please feel free to comment, post photos, share and interact with puffin fans!
