Dean And Esther

Dean received Esther just a month ago, and already she has made a difference in his life.  Multiple deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan left him with PTSD and mobility issues due to injuries to his back. He also had not experienced a full nights’ sleep since 2004 because of his injuries. Dean retired from the USMC in April of 2012 after over 21 years of service to our country.

During Dean’s individualized team training, the very first night Esther was in the hotel with him he slept 7 full hours. On Day 2 of training he set his bi-lateral crutches aside to use Esther as his full support.

“I am already walking without my canes and I’ve slept a full seven hours every night; it is a miracle,” said Dean. “Esther has changed my life in just the four days that I have had her. Esther is like a life partner. She is there when I need her, she knows when I feel bad, and she knows how to make me feel better. I couldn’t ask for more.”
