pigeons in Ranthambhore, India

Amongst these pigeons in Ranthambhore, India, snuck two colorful feathered friends. We think they are Lovebirds or some other type of Parrotlets. (Better guess? Post here!). “Parrots are found in warm climates all over most of the world. The greatest diversities exist in Australasia, Central America, and South America… once tame birds have reproduced in the wild and established thriving feral populations in foreign ecosystems. The monk (green) parakeet, for example, now lives in several U.S. states” (National Geographic).

The most famous case in North America are the wild parrots of Telegraph Hill in San Francisco, Domesticate, then released parrots made the hill their home and bred the population into an impressive colony. (Read more here).
