A Fond Farewell
/ by Erica Wills of Polar Bears International
When Katie and I started blogging for explore.org, we thought it would only be for the migration season. We ended up staying on for nine months, and it has been a fantastic experience working with the explore team to bring you the latest on our beloved polar bears!
All good things must come to an end, however, and so this is my final post for this fellowship. To you, the readers, I hope I have helped to be a source of both information and inspiration. The best part about the problem of climate change is that we have the power to fix it — we are the solution. That makes us individuals pretty powerful creatures, when you think about it!
To quote Dr. Jane Goodall, “Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference.” By making conscious decisions in how you use energy, what you buy, how you travel, and what you eat, you can have a positive impact on our world and make it a better place. So, for everything you’ve done and continue to do to help the polar bears and their icy home, thank you! Keep on changing the world, one action at a time.
