The Second Egg Has Arrived!

audubonbirdcams:

Congratulations to Rachel and Steve, our Hog Island Osprey, on the arrival of their second egg! Rachel revealed the nest’s newcomer at 10:09am PDT on April 30, 2014. Remarkably, she laid this second egg almost 72 hours after the first; more often, Osprey lay subsequent eggs in 1-2 days.

Throughout incubation, both eggs will be shuffled around beneath their parents with no visible way to distinguish between them for the next 5 weeks, when you can watch them hatch in the same order they were laid.
