In spring, wild Magellanic Penguins head south, away from the equator, toward Antarctica.
These guys “are migratory sea birds that arrive during spring at the Patagonia coasts. During the cold months they travel more than 3000 Km. up to the Brazilian coasts in search of warmer waters,” (Patagonia-Argentina.com). There they mate in monogamous pairs and build and defend their new nests and offspring together.
