No, that’s not a mirror. It’s Bella and George in red with Finn and Eve in blue. They’re enjoying the mall – out of wheelchairs, on their feet walking all alone… almost.
The dogs are brothers, Great Danes, two years apart. Mom is a Merle from Denmark, and dad was Bentley, a Harlequin from the back woods of Crazy Acres, whose grandpa was from Budapest. These are not “valuable dogs”, they are invaluable.
Service Dog Project trains and places Great Danes with people who live with Multiple Sclerosis, Friedreich’s ataxia, and veterans with disabilities.
