Three Scoops of Orange!

Meet the newest kittens on the Kitten Rescue Cam!

What is it about the Orange Tabby? There are Facebook sites devoted to these lovable, wildly patterned fuzz balls.

“Orange tabbies are also called marmalade cats. Others refer to them as ginger cats… There are four male orange tabbies for every one female….

There are four distinct tabby patterns, the classic, mackerel, spotted, and the tickled pattern. The classic or swirled tabby pattern features blotches, swirls, and resembles a tie-dye design. The mackerel orange tabby is also called the tiger cat, featuring the tiger’s distinctive stripes. Spotted orange tabbies feature spots and patches all over their bodies, and ticked tabbies have agouti hair. Agouti hairs are two toned cat hairs.” Read more at VeterinaryAnswers.
