In this short film, Charlie went on a fact-finding mission on the island of Molokai to learn more about Hansen’s Disease (Leprosy) and Father Damien, who served the isolated patients with no cure. Abandoned on this island for seven years, Father Damien finally arrived in the late 1800s to devote his life to service. He built patients’ homes, churches and coffins. He is the “true definition of selflessness.” Father Damien, now also Saint Damien of Molokaʻi, inspires us all with the true meaning of Christmas and the holiday spirit. “Three things will last forever: faith, hope and love.” Never stop learning.
