The Growth of Solar Pup

Explore.org fan, Samantha Eye, has been following a new gray seal pup she’s named Solar Pup for its interest in the live cam solar power generators.

Samantha Eye points out how fast the pup has been growing as you can see in the before (right) and after (left) picture taken six days later. Gray seals pups grow at about 2.5-3 lbs / day after birth until they wean at 3 weeks.
