Congrats to Bergin University and Birdie, the 3-year-old yellow Labrador with an amazing smile from Southeastern Guide Dogs in Tampa, FL. She welcomes her fourth and final litter to their program! Watch her care for her puppies live from Bergin University’s Birdie’s Litter Cam.
Birdie was bred to Rory, a black Labrador stud for Southeastern Guide Dogs. While the majority of this litter will be sent back to Florida to continue training as future guide dogs, two pups will stay at Bergin and join their training program, later matched with clients with physical disabilities and veterans with combat-related issues.
The litter of seven pups – 5 girls and 2 boys – arrived on July 15th. Now we’ll see Birdie nurse and raise them on their puppy live cam. Then, as they grow, they’ll begin their training as future guide dogs. Come meet the pups!
