Hippo Thoughts on Elephants

“Quick! Act like a rock, the elephants are coming!” or “They do know we pee in here, right?” – Photo by CamOpRobin

When it comes to size, these two gray beasts can really balance the scales. Hippos are 9.5 to 14 ft long and weigh 5,000 to 8,000 lbs. Elephants stand anywhere from 8 to 13 ft tall and weigh 5,000 to 14,000 lbs!

Fast Fact: A group of hippos is a “school” and a elephants form a “herd.”
