Got Snow? Let’s Play.

Even though the Scandinavian Wildlife Park, which Siku calls home, is closed for the winter, you can still get a secret look at his life in the snow on the Live Cam.

Learn about Siku’s outdoor lifestyle from SWP:

Siku learns to live outside
We started out being in the enclosure with Siku, when he first moved outside. We crawled around on the ground with him, explored and met the world with him. He was very secure in his surroundings, so we stopped going in with him in start april, 2012 and he’s been alone in the enclosure ever since. The first year, someone was always with him on the other side of the fence, but now he’s used to being alone 24/7.

Siku and Smilla

Siku has since he moved outside, been able to say hello to the other adult bears through the fence and all winter he has had an older female named Smilla as a neighbor. They now know each other so well that we have opened up between them and they now live together in Siku’s teenage room.

I think Siku misses Smilla now that he’s spent some time with Ilka and the twins.
