Our Panda Protectors are an amazing group of kids with brilliant and innovative ideas to help the pandas.
Cole, who is 11 years old, decided to dress up as a Panda Aid Worker for Halloween last October. Through social media, his parents contacted all of the neighbors and told them that he would not only be trick-or-treating, but would also be collecting donations for Pennies 4 Pandas. The actual day of trick-or-treating, he collected a large bag of candy and $62.38 from neighbors. Since he wasn’t able to make it around the entire neighborhood, and missed a few neighbors who were ready to donate, they arranged to visit those homes another day. He collected an additional $34.18!
Cole, a 6th grader, is absolutely enamored with Pandas and is very sensitive to their plight. His goal now is to grow up and work with the pandas on a reserve.
