Lola Update!
Back in April, one of Freedom Service Dog’s trainers, Kate, had noticed that Lola was exhibiting a slight limp. She was soon rushed to the vet, where she had numerous x-rays done. These x-rays revealed that Lola had fractures in her elbows, which needed immediate (and pricey) surgery to repair. FSD’s amazing group of supporters came together and donated to cover her surgery and subsequent rehab, and Lola has been doing great since then! Since her surgery in May, Lola has been staying with Kate, who has been taking her to her twice-weekly aquatic rehab sessions, and has helped Lola with her other rehab exercises. We are excited for the day when she can finally become superstar service-dog-in-training!
