Today is Veterans Day, a holiday devoted to thanking all American soldiers for their service, dedication, and some for making the ultimate sacrifice. There may be no better way to show your appreciation than to learn about and volunteer for organizations devoted to assisting warriors after their return home. And Warrior Canine Connection might be one of the best places to start.
Warrior Canine Connection is an organization that helps wounded Warriors reconnect with life, their families, their communities, and each other. It’s a therapeutic program that engages service members and veterans who struggle with PTSD by teaching them how to train service dogs for fellow veterans. By working with the service dogs, the warriors’ symptoms of PTSD are alleviated. And their efforts continue on to serve their physically disabled brothers in arms who receive a trained assistance animal to serve them in every day life.
You can contribute to the mission in a number of ways, including volunteering your time. By volunteering you can thank our veterans in person and meet some of the puppies of Warrior Canine Connection!
The Warrior Canine Connection Live Cam will be back later this month with new puppies!
