Service dogs come in all different shapes and sizes! Congrats to Gene and Harley, graduates of the Soldier’s Best Friend program.
“SBF helps veterans afflicted with PTSD/TBI. We do this by pairing & training a veteran with a rescue dog to eventually become a service dog for the vet.”
At no charge, SBF places a rescue dog from a local shelter with veterans and active military members who play direct roles in training their new best friend to become a “certified as a service dog or classified a therapeutic companion dog / Emotional Support Animal.”
