An Exciting Week!

This week was filled with excitement at Leader Dogs for the Blind! Especially for Queen and her new friend Anita Nelson! The two were introduced to her each other just a few days ago and are clearly a perfect pair (they both have blonde hair too)! After months of patience and learning, Queen was finally ready to show off her skills to Anita as they practiced traffic checks together for the first time. Just as Queen was taught, when a car crossed their path, she immediately stopped—prompting Anita to stop as well. It was truly incredible to witness the trust between Anita and Queen develop right before our eyes as Queen kept them safe from harm. 

Anita has two daughters and lives with her husband in Wisconsin. She expressed how much Leader Dog means to her because she now has independence with Queen by her side.
