There Will Be Blood (in an hour!)
At 2 PM PST/5 PM EST, the sharks on the Aquarium of the Pacific Shark Lagoon Live Cam are fed daily. Join us in one hour on the Live Cam to get up close and personal – – from a safe distance – – for this shark frenzy!
The Shark Lagoon features sandbar, sand tiger, zebra, nurse, and blacktip reef sharks, as well as a freshwater sawfish and reticulated whiptail rays.
Did You Know? “Most sharks are especially active in the evening and night when they hunt… Some shark species, like the great white shark, attack and surprise their prey, usually seals and sea lions, from below. Species that dwell on the ocean floor have developed the ability to bottom-feed. Others attack schooling fish in a feeding frenzy, while large sharks like the whale and basking sharks filter feed by swimming through the ocean with their mouths open wide, filtering large quantities of plankton and krill,” (Defenders of Wildlife).
