Paul And Simba
“My name is Paul Walmsley, and this my therapy dog and best friend Simba. I was a passenger involved in a road traffic accident 6 years ago which left me paraplegic and a permanent wheelchair user. Not long after my accident Simba entered my life, and since then he’s been by my side and kept me strong through losing my father to a sudden heart attack, and losing my mother to a long term battle with cancer.
The term ‘hero’ is overused, but the truth is that he truly is my hero, never flinching, never complaining no matter how down I’m feeling. He just wants to cuddle up for more tickles more smiles and his favourite belly rub, and lets me know no matter how bad things are he’ll always be waiting for me to cheer me up.”
