Today we remember the lives lost on 9/11/2001 and celebrate the heroes who followed the tragedy – canine and human heroes alike.
In this tribute video, Debra Tosch, Executive Director of the Search Dog Foundation, speaks with expert knowledge and deep emotion about her deployment to the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Debra’s dog Abby, who has now passed, served at Ground Zero. This clip was dedicated to all the search dogs and their handlers who have bravely served this country.
After 9/11, Debra and Abby deployed to a number of disasters, including Hurricane Katrina and the La Conchita mudslide. Abby now helps train future search dogs. Watch and learn more about SDF here.
And in these short films, meet the American Vets who deployed post-9/11, and learn about their service, methods of recovery from PTSD, and the amazing lives they’ve lived in this series of films from Charlie.
This festival winning video documents the Combat Vets suffering from PTSD who participated in a fly fishing workshop, hosted by the non-profit Sun Valley Adaptive Sports, and explored the connection between nature and healing.
Thank you to all who serve in protecting and serving. We honor and remember you today.
