Heroic Police Dog Rescues Man

This week, a police dog saved the life of a man who phoned relatives to say he was going to commit suicide.

Aragon the Alsatian found the 33-year-old man from Graz, Styria, lying unconscious under a tree in Traun, Upper Austria, after taking an overdose of pills.

Desperate relatives had called the police to tell them of the man’s intentions and they had tracked his location to the area, but after and hour and a half of searching failed to find him. They then brought in hero dog Aragon, who located the lifeless man’s body within minutes.

Officers gave the man first aid before taking him to Linz General Hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
