They can’t fly, but when they’re swimming, they’re actually more like flying. Confused? Don’t be!

Penguins can’t fly. But their wings, while developed for swimming, work the same underwater as another bird’s does in flight. So they aren’t acting as fins. Instead, penguins are actually flying underwater, and they can “fly” as fast as 25 mph!
