Do you know about Vinnie and Lola? They are local heroes in the office of Dr. Fred Troxel, DDS in Florida. They used to come to work just because they couldn’t be trusted home alone, but they soon found their perch and their metiers in the lap of patients.
Knowing them both pretty well, it’s fair to say what they’re thinking here, “It’s a two-way street. The patient is relaxed and calmer for the usually unpleasant experience of visiting the dentist – and we are the center of attention with constant petting and warm laps for at least 30 minutes. Please, take your time!”
Recently the Huffington Post confirmed what Holly’s Half Dozen, the Service Dog Project, and Lola and Vinnie have long known – dogs make great therapists.
