Plains Bison place a tall order.
These Bulls are about six and a half feet tall and about eleven feet from shoulder to rump.

Since they are also weigh about a ton, that means they have the same basic dimensions as the average smart car.
Watch our Bison Cam here and share your favorite screen captures.

Community Voices: Earth Day Feedback

On Earth Day, we asked what you would do to celebrate the day, and Drew sent us a message that was truly inspirational.

I’m a 41-year-old man with a traumatic brain injury.  Celebrating nature is an everyday experience for me, and it should be for all of us.  I like to recycle and read Ranger Rick magazine.  Even though it’s set up as a children’s magazine, I believe everybody can kearn from Ranger Rick.  Nature rocks!

Your friend,
Drew

Earth Day: You can now watch our owl cams live from snowy Montana!
Watch these mysterious and regal birds of prey 24/7 during their mating season. Catch the rare sights - and sounds - of the elusive Long-eared Owl and the Great Horned Owl silently gliding from perch to perch, as they hunt after dark and care for their chicks.
How will you celebrate nature today? Did you make an Earth Day pledge or personal resolution? Email us at share@explore.org - we’d love to hear it!
