September is Here; The Ospreys Aren’t for Long

It’s September already and fall officially begins in 3 weeks. Send summer off in style with the Osprey and celebrate the forthcoming autumn with the Bear.

Join us on the Live Osprey Cam where the three Ps – Pia, Pan and Poole – are preparing to head south any day now, following in mom and dad (Rachel and Steve)’s footsteps. (Er, wing-flaps?) These three chicks, who fledged last month, will fly solo, by instinct, covering more than 5,000 miles. See them now, while still in Maine, on the Live Cam.

And gear up for hibernation on the Brown Bear Live Cam. The bears of Katmai National Park are busy fishing Brooks Falls and other tasty river spots in Alaska. The Lower River Cam will show as many as 40 bears at once from now until October, all fattening up on the salmon run before hibernation begins. Join in the conversation and add to our viewers’ snapshot collection by clicking the camera icon on the live stream!
