Too Cute Tuesday
The baby Sea Turtle in Finding Nemo was hanging ten (well, if he had toes) along the currents. This baby Sea Turtle in Costa Rica is slowly inching his way into the world.
Sea Turtles have been around since before dinosaurs, over 150 million years ago. (Humans have been around about 2.3 million years to give you some perspective.) Today they are seriously endangered - mostly due to human poaching and encroachment. The most dangerous part of a Sea Turtle’s life is this journey from hatched egg to the ocean when natural predators are on the look out. When they do make it, they can grow to weigh up to 700 lbs and live to about 80.
