Happy Inventors Day, Argentina!

In celebration of inventors worldwide a couple facts for you:

  • Sputnik 1 was the first spacecraft to orbit Earth.
  • The first space shuttle in space was the Columbia.
  • The Right Stuff, a book about the “space race” and U.S. experiments in rocket propelled flight by Tom Wolfe, was published in 1979.
  • Yuri Gagarin was the first human in outer space.
  • Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, passed away just last month at the age of 82.

Enjoy this video exploring outspace and the Keck Observatory, where the human mind is opened to a vast realm of new possibilities as it reaches through space to discover new planets, stars and see what’s beyond.

Keep exploring
