Cat Fact Wednesday
This lioness has the remnants of lunch on her fur. Females do the majority of hunting, pursuing prey in groups more often than not and fighting for the spoils after. Cubs begin hunting at about a year old, though they stick to their mothers’ side for two years. (Read more here and here to learn about life in the pride.)
