Pack your bags, we’re off to the Middle East! The Queen Rania Family and Child Center was established in 2005 to combat child abuse and bullying in Amman. The children at the Queen Rania Family and Child Center use paint, brushes, and paper to discover their dignity and identity. The art program teaches the children to trust themselves and deal with traumatic experiences.
The children use art “as another language, a global language” to express their feelings and build self esteem. The artistic outlet is based on psychological and sociological theories, but ventures into the creative soul to build not only a safe place for children, but worldwide awareness of these worldwide issues.
