Siku is now7 months and 1 week old. He weighs 49 kg (108 pounds)!
We changed Siku’s diet this week. He will not be drinking milk his whole life and we are therefore getting him used to not having milk at every feeding. This means that we give him milk in the morning and in the evening, and the three feedings during the day are now only meat. That requires some getting used to for Siku, because he LOVES the milk just a little bit more than the meat. Therefore he is a bit annoyed with us when we try to offer him only meat. After offering him a couple of pieces he calms down, and we are sure than in a couple of days he will realize that he actually loves the meat as well.
Siku’s new diet is 1 liter of milk, 1200 grams of meat (mostly cow heart), some high quality dog food and 1 apple. We tried giving him apple a little more than a week ago. At first we needed to cut it in to smaller pieces until he figured out that it was food. Now he loves having a whole apple, and he will usually eat the skin first and after that alternate between playing with it and eating it.
